Privacy Policy
Last Updated: November 03, 2026
We take the privacy and safety of protesters, organizers, and participants extremely seriously. We collect the absolute minimum data required to run the platform.
1. Data We Collect
- Account Data: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. If you use Google Login, we receive your basic profile info (name and email).
- Participation Data: When you click "I'm Joining", "Volunteer", or "Speak", we record your RSVP. This information is shared with the specific organizer of that event.
- Content: Any comments, live chat messages, or event data you post.
- Technical Data: Basic server logs (IP address, browser type) for security and rate-limiting purposes.
2. Data We DO NOT Collect
- We do not track your live GPS location. The "Near Me" feature uses your browser's local geolocation and does not store your coordinates on our servers.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party advertisers or data brokers.
3. Law Enforcement Requests
Because protest data is sensitive, PROTEST.PAGE will only comply with law enforcement requests for user data if presented with a valid, legally binding subpoena, warrant, or court order. We will notify the affected user (unless legally prohibited from doing so) before disclosing their data.
4. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from your Profile Settings page.
